Mission Bangkok

Report for the Month of July, 2014 :

Farrukh Saif Foundation, previously known as WVIP, is the first Pakistani organization which started helping Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers in Bangkok Thailand from May, 2014. There are more than 10,000 Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers in Thailand who fled from Pakistan for the safety of their lives.

After knowing the miserable situation of vulnerable Pakistani Christian community in Bangkok, we decided that in first phase we will help people by providing them food packages and rent to some extent and also we will help and workout for the release of those Pakistani Christians who were arrested by the immigration police .

Back ground of Exodus: A Christian exodus resulted in 2009 when Christian Colonies, villages and neighborhoods in Punjab were attacked by the “Muslim Extremists.” Hundreds of houses were torched and several people were burnt alive. Hundreds of Christians from Gojra and Korian village fled from Pakistan and took refuge in Sri-Lanka, Thailand, Hong Kong and Malaysia in order to preserve their lives and avoid future persecution. This whole episode further accelerated when in March 2013 Islamic fanatics attacked Christian Colony in Badami Bagh Lahore. According to our own survey there are thousands of Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers in East Asia and South Asia.

Our Efforts: – Farrkh Saif Foundation is helping the persecuted Christian community in Bangkok, Thailand, by supporting dozens of Victims in their monthly rents and stipend for their survival. Apart from these efforts Farrukh Saif Foundation is providing food packages to 100 of Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers.

Urdu Church in Hands of God: In the first week of July, 2014 FSF team led by Francis Sodagar distributed food packages in 25 families of Urdu Church in Hands of God, Which is run by Pastor Thong Chai (famously known as Papa Thong Chai). We are thankful to Bro. Thong Chai and his team who invited us to help his Congregation.

Unity PK Church Samrong-Bangkok: Farrukh Saif Foundation, led by Francis Sodagar, Shakeel Maqbool Malik and Prof. Maqbool Rehmat distributed 25 food packages in Unity PK Church Samrong-Bangkok . We are thankful to Pastor Windy Buranasiri and her team who invited us to distribute the food packages to Pakistani Christians.

Paracha Uthit, Delight H. Condo: FSF, team member Karamat Chana and others distributed 40 food Packages amongst the residents of Paracha Uthit, Delight H. Condo.

Other distributions: Apart from these distributions we helped 10 more families in Samrong Bangkok .

Helping arrested Asylum Seekers:FSF, team released 5 Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers from the police who were without visa’s.

Farrukh Saif Foundation will carry on its support to the Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers in Bangkok, Thailand. From August 2014 we have extended our services to our brothers and sisters in Bangkok Thailand and we would request you all to keep Pakistani Asylum seekers in your prayers.
