Influential Media Person Entangles A Christian Rickshaw Driver In A False Car Accident Case

Influential media person, Tehmina Sheikh has landed in hot water as she deliberately entangled a Christian rickshaw driver Jamil Masih in a car accident case. Witnesses say, Jamil Masih it was not Jamil’s mistake yet he was hooked by the police.

The incident unfolded at Bhakki Adda area, where Tehmina Sheikh’s car, hit Jamil Masih’s rickshaw. Tehmina’s car was allegedly over speeding, thus the collision caused Tehmina’s car to overturn. Tehmina Sheikh, anchorperson of a local media house Urdu Point, in furry used her influence, exerted pressure on SHO Shehbaz Najmi from Bhakki Police Station to arrest Jamil Masih and keep him in the lock up.

Police arrested Jamil, despite the fact that witnesses informed the police that it was not his mistake. Consequently, an FIR was registered against Jamil Masih. News of this incident generated outcry amongst the civil society especially amongst Pakistan’s Christian community. A prominent Pakistani Christian activist and journalist arrived at the scene and was able to procure release of Jamil Masih.
