Hate against the minorities in Pakistan
Islamabad: Our team from Pakistan earlier this week explain that the Violent behavior and discrimination against minorities is routine matter in Pakistan now. Every fifth Pakistani has a superior complex and hates to other religion to extreme level. In the rural regions in Pakistan, If you are non-Muslim in Pakistan, you couldn’t neither get the medicine from bottle marked/labelled as Muslim nor can’t drink water from the same pot. The famous case of Asia bibi is an example; she has been imprisoned for years for drinking water. There has a picture gone viral on social media, it showed somewhere in Pakistan as doctor has reportedly designated separate thermometers (a device that measures temperature) to give to patients depending on their religion.
In the most recent case, the former Punjab’s Minister for Information and Culture Fayyazul Hassan Chohan, passed derogatory remarks against the country’s Hindu community while criticising India, drawing the ire of religious minorities. ‘‘You cow urine-drinking people, listen to me,’’ Chohan had said during the press conference. ‘‘We are Muslims and we have the flag of Hazart Ali and Hazrat Umars bravery. You don’t have that flag’’. He further said ‘idol-worshipers’ shouldn’t operate under the delusion that they are better than Pakistan.
After Fayyazul Hassan Chohan’s comments hurt the religious sensibilities of Hindus, a single tweet was able to encourage a movement that eventually put an end to Chohan’s tenure as Punjab information minister. Following his outburst, the PTI Punjab government has confirmed to remove Fayyazul Hassan form his post of Information Minister following derogatory remarks about the Hindu community. The official tweeter said that bashing someone’s faith should not be a part of any narrative. Tolerance is the first and foremost pillar on which Pakistan was built.
Chohan, known for his outlandish speeches, has used disparaging words for the members of Hindu community while speaking in Lahore on February 24, 2019. He later claimed that his comments were directed against Indians and not Pakistani Hindus. Earlier a Hindu activist, Kapil Dev, slammed Chohan saying that, this is what we get in response to our love & patriotism for Pakistan from PTI govt minister using derogatory words for Hindus without realizing that 4 million Hindus live in Pakistan.
